Día 39 / Day 39

San Petersburgo, 23 de Septiembre de 2010, museo de trenes.

Yo sabía que había un museo de trenes en esta ciudad y si bien no es el único lugar donde podemos encontrar un museo de este tipo, les tenemos que dar crédito a los Rusos porque quizás no sean los mejores trenes, los más rápidos, los más lujosos pero tienen el más largo del mundo y ante eso nadie le puede quitar el 1er puesto, por ahora. Yo esperaba encontrar muchos tipos de trenes pero me encontré solo con maquetas, sin embargo estuve más de 1 hora hablando con una señora de unos 70 años, que es muy común aca verlas trabajando. Ella hablaba en ruso y yo decía todo que si, aunque le entendí bastante bien y le pude contar que estaba haciendo en torno a los trenes. Me mostro los diferentes trajes de cada época haciéndome hincapié en que hace varios años los guardas portaban armas como espadas e incluso revólveres, hay que entender que era el único transporte terrestre de larga distancia. Hoy en día siguen siendo muy estrictos en los controles, te piden el pasaporte y el boleto del tren tiene que tener tu nombre.

I knew there was a trains museum in this city and is not the only one of its kind on the world but we have to give some credit to the Russians because maybe they don’t have the best trains, the faster ones or even the most luxuries but they have the longest railway on the world and they have the 1st place with that, so far. I expected to find different kind of trains but I found just scale models, I talked with an old woman like 70 years old (it’s very common to see old people working here) for more than 1 hour. She spoke in Russian and I said yes all the time, but I understood almost everything even I told her about my trip and the project with the trains. She shown me the different costumes and she made me watch with energy the weapons on the guards like swords and shotguns, it’s necessary to understand that in the past this kind of ground transport was the only one for long distance. Nowadays they are very strict with the check-in, they ask you the passport and the ticket with your name.
