Día 60 / Day 60

Lago Baikal, 14 de Octubre de 2010, el lago más grande del mundo.

Llegamos a las 4 de la tarde a la isla Olkhon, es la isla más grande del lago, e inmediatamente dejamos el equipaje y nos dirigimos hasta la costa del lago para ver el paisaje que es increíble. Mucho viento y junto al frio hace que por momentos te sientas en el polo norte pero la vista es tan bonita que podes aguantarlo sin problemas. Hace solo 5 años que hay electricidad en esta isla, imaginen como era esto antes, y luego piensen que cambio solo un poquito, porque por ejemplo es difícil encontrar agua caliente. Nos alojamos en un lugar que tiene cabañas y el baño está separado, por supuesto es muy precario y muy gracioso porque tenes que pisar como dos bolas de goma que hay en el piso para bombear agua desde el tanque hasta el duchador, pero mas alla de los detalles es un lugar bastante acogedor. Aca en la foto pueden verme en la costa oeste del lago.

Lake Baikal, October 14th 2010, the biggest lake in the world.

We arrived to the Olkhon island at 4 PM, this island is the biggest one in the lake, we left the bags and we run immediately to the coast of the lake to see the incredible landscape. It was very windy and in combination with the cold you feel like in the north pole, but it’s not a problem because the view is so beautiful. They have electricity since 5 years ago in the island, so imagine how was before and then think that it changes just a little bit, for example it’s very difficult to find hot water. We are in a place with bungalows and the bathroom is separated, of course it’s very poor but funny because you have to push two balls in the floor to pump water from the tank to the shower, but if you don’t think on those details the place is very cozy. Here in the picture you can see me in the west coast of the lake.
