Día 75 / Day 75

Beijing, October 29th 2010, Hutong.

Hutong is a neighborhood in Beijing, very close to our place where we are staying. You can find the most surprising things in this place, from food sellers in the streets to poor houses with clothes hanging on the door, the first look here is like if you are going to be rob or just simply a not friendly place but the reality is nothing happen, the worst here is of course the terrible smell you can find everywhere and mostly close the public toilets, because it seems the poor houses doesn’t have one inside. The neighborhood is a labyrinth itself and it’s complicated to walk through and it’s more complicated when the signs are in Chinese and you can find yourself in the downtown area just around the corner. I took more pictures in this area more than other places because every 2 meters you find something interesting and it takes your attention, here you can see an example of a anti thief system, I suppose, for the wheel of this car, a little weird because it is just two pieces of cartoon.
