Día 68 / Day 68

Ulan Bator, 22 de Octubre de 2010, Ger.

Hoy visitamos un parque nacional donde nos alojamos durante la noche en un “Ger” que es una tienda donde viven los Mongoles de clase baja. Fue una experiencia única porque esta tienda está situada en el medio de la nada entre montañas, dentro de la tienda había 4 camas una mesa con 4 banquito y fue muy difícil explicarle a Krisztina el chiste de “Armando Esteban Quito” pero lo logre. Adicionalmente había una especie de salamandra donde le ponían madera cada 3 horas para mantener el lugar caliente, ahora resuelta que la última vez que le iban a poner era a las 23hs para que dure hasta la mañana de alguna manera pero nunca vinieron a hacer asi que luego de una hora cuando empezó a hacer frio ahí dentro me puse a trabajar y prendí el fuego más importante de mi vida creo yo, porque gracias a ese fue pudimos dormir calentitos. A la mañana siguiente teníamos que tomar el autobús a las 8.30 y sabíamos que era cerca pero no donde y a la mañana no había nadie a quien preguntar, pero por suerte encontramos a tiempo el lugar y pudimos volver a la ciudad, de otra manera hubiésemos perdido un día entero o más.

We visited a national park where we spent the night in a “Ger”, it’s a tent where the low resources Mongols live. It was an unique experience because this tent is located in the middle of nowhere between mountains, inside the tent there was 4 beds, a table and 4 little chairs. Additionally there was a kind of heater where they put wood sticks every 3 hours in order to keep heat inside, but the last time at 11PM they didn’t appear so we waited for 1 hour and when cold began I decided to work and I made the most important fire in my life, I think, because we could sleep warm inside. In the next morning we would have to take a bus at 8.30AM and we knew that the bus stop was close but not exactly where and in the morning nobody was in there to explain to us, but luckily we found the bus stop on time and we arrived to the city, otherwise we would can lose one day or even more.
