Día 62 / Day 62

Lago Baikal, 16 de Octubre de 2010, picnic.

Hoy el día fue mucho más tranquilo, nos dirigimos al sur de la isla donde no hay mucho para ver pero te podes pasar horas mirando el paisaje, y eso hicimos. Entre las paradas, más precisamente al mediodía nuestro guía “Fiodor” nos preparo el almuerzo y comimos a orillas del lago. El menú no es muy variado, otra vez sopa de Omul con papas, ensalada de tomate y pepino, unos sándwiches de pan duro con queso y unos cositos dulces que sería como la tapa de un alfajor glaseada y dura claro está. Aca la bebida por excelencia es el té y junto a la comida todo fue calentado en una fogata mientras nosotros explorábamos las formaciones rocosas en esa parte de la isla. Cuando llegamos al hotel nos encontramos con que las cañerías se habían congelado lo que equivale a no tener agua, por suerte encontré un poco y con el fabuloso sistema de calentamiento eléctrico que tienen pude tomar una ducha caliente, a Krisztina la mande a la “bania” que es una especie de sauna con vapor y luego ahí mismo podes bañarte con el agua caliente que sobra.

We had a very peaceful day, we visited the south of the island, not too much to see but you can spend hours enjoying the landscape, and that’s what we’ve been done. Our guide “Fiodor” made the lunch in one of the stops, precisely at midday and we ate in the coast of the lake. The menu is very small, again Omul soup with potatoes, tomato and cucumber salad, sandwiches of hard bread with cheese and some things like cookies with sugar and of course very hard, like old. The tea is the beverage for excellence in here and with the food all together was heated in the fire meanwhile we explored the rocks in that part of the island. We arrived to the hotel and we found that the pipes were frozen and it means there is no water, lucky me I found some water to take a shower and I heated with the electric device they have here, I sent Krisztina to the “Bania” is like a sauna with steam where you can take a shower with the hot water that remains.
